Brand Story

Bandit was created by Three Thieves Charles Bieler, Joel Gott and Roger Scommegna in 2003, from a shared love of wine and exploring beautiful landscapes. One of the first wines in Tetra-Pak, Bandit is widely credited with creating an opportunity for quality wines in alternative packaging. Its light-weight container is adventure-ready, keeps the wine fresh and delicious, and uses natural resources responsibly. The Bandit packaging is made almost entirely from paper, a renewable resource that can be re-grown or produced without depleting natural resourcesmade almost entirely from paper, a renewable resource that can be re-grown or produced without depleting natural resources.

With a mission to never stop exploring, conservation is also fundamental to Bandit’s identity. In celebration of that commitment, each Bandit varietal features a different National Park on its packaging. Bandit is a proud partner of the National Park Foundation and has donated to the National Trails and National Wild & Scenic Rivers acts to support priority projects. For the athletic and competitive Charles Bieler who is quick to embark on any adventure (most recently running the Grand Canyon), Bandit is a way of making great wine that’s easy to enjoy outdoors, and then investing in the surroundings that inspire that exploration.

Bandit wines are sourced from California vineyards, and are all crafted to be approachable, delicious wines ready to enjoy anywhere from dinner around the campfire to backpacking on the Pacific Crest Trail. The brand’s packaging and personality has made it a favorite of thousands of outdoor enthusiasts throughout the country.
